I have a live oak in my front yard and the neighbors do as well, an Feb is definitely an irritating month especially since the low wind/eddy points where the leaves collect are right around the back door and just outside the gate from the patio to the driveway. This of course coupled with all the normal deciduous leaf fall in the fall makes for your two seasons of leaf fall in my yards as well.

Due to lack of time, my last solution for this February deluge was to sweep the back door/patio along with the gate leaves out the gate and onto the driveway just as a cold front was hitting so that the strong north winds would blow the leaves along the driveway back toward the street where they were no longer entangled in the eddy points and could fly free. They were released!

I have my very own personal elf (lucky me!), named Stephanie. She's great to shop with, lots of fun to eat with, and fantastic with the gift wrap. She helps me when I need it (doing the heavy lifting, etc.) but, mostly, she's just fun to hang with. My niece has earned her November/December nickname: Elf. Too bad you live so far away; otherwise, you may have been able to borrow her!!!
